Our work is powered by Colorado ecological restoration volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels. From one-day projects to long-term leadership roles, WRV offers flexible ways to volunteer in ecological restoration across Colorado. Wildlands Restoration Volunteers brings people together to care for Colorado’s public lands through meaningful, hands-on service. From first-time volunteers to experienced leaders, individuals of all backgrounds play a role in restoring ecosystems, improving outdoor access, and strengthening community connections across the state. Projects are designed to be approachable, well-supported, and impactful, making it easy for volunteers to contribute while learning new skills.

Opportunities range from trail maintenance and habitat restoration to river projects, forest health initiatives, and family-friendly experiences that introduce youth to stewardship at an early age. Volunteers work alongside trained leaders and partner organizations to complete projects that protect wildlife, improve resilience, and support long-term land health. Together, Colorado ecological restoration volunteers help ensure that natural spaces remain healthy, accessible, and resilient for future generations.
